Israeli police have not yet made arrests following the pursuit by Bedouin residents of Bir Hagej village of IDF officers, which was documented in Tiktuk and published last week.

A police official tells "Israel Today" that although the suspect's identity is known and despite intense activity in the past week, those involved in the incident have not yet been identified. He said that in all the activities in the village, he was empty of men, and suspicion that those involved in the chase had crossed the border into Sinai and left the country.

Recall, on May 31 at 5:00 pm, during an area tour for an exercise in the Commander's Commander's Course, "a vehicle with Bedouin was loaded with equipment suspected of being a weapon." Thus, according to an internal summary document by the Tze'el base commander, which was first published by "Israel Today" reporter. Two company commanders who conducted the patrol launched "in pursuit of the vehicle that reached the outskirts of the village of Bir Dodge. Upon arrival in the village, Bedouin crowds began to attempt to block the military vehicle while physically injuring the vehicle by the Bedouin."

The soldiers responded with a suspicious arrest procedure "involving shouting, gunfire and gunfire." Then "the force came out of the village and called police." Apparently, during the exit from the village, the chase was documented in a video in which close to 10 civilian jeeps surround the military vehicle until they eventually make it off the road, leading to severe verbal clashes between the officers and the Bedouin pursuing them. In summary, the base commander made it clear that "no pursuit of Bedouins would be carried out." Meanwhile, this week it was learned that two officers and two reserve fighters were ousted following another case of weapons disappearance.

Not a single case

These are special technological means worth about NIS 400,000 lost during a field exercise on March 11, in the Za'al fire areas. According to the incident investigation, the means disappeared during the equipment collection at the end of an exercise.

As "Israel Today" has learned, this is not an isolated case. In many other cases, IDF soldiers and officers are tried and paid for personal results due to the failure of the lawlessness. "Rather than treating the major and major defaulters, they prefer to treat the small soldiers," we are told by reserve officers who train in the area - pursue the thieves, but in the end blame them and put them on trial. The Israeli police said in relation to the persecution event in Sal'im: "We will not elaborate on ongoing investigations, but we note that we consider the case seriously, we will continue to investigate it thoroughly and take all necessary actions, all with a view to obtaining the truth and concluding the verdict with those involved."

The IDF spokesman said in relation to the loss of equipment: "After an investigation up to the division level, the procedures and guidelines for maintaining equipment of training force were sharpened and it was decided to take command of the commanders responsible for the incident. "The Southern Command commander accepted the recommendations of the Divisional Inquiry into taking command measures against those involved."
