The defendant Cao Jianwei (47 years old) was charged with three counts of agents accepting interests, violating Article 9(1)(a) of the Prevention of Bribery Regulations. The defendant was responsible for supervising the operation of a warehouse in Yuen Long, which was used for inventory and packaging and labeling of the goods.
Zhaode Enterprise decided to outsource its labeling work to two sisters in early October 2017. The two worked as part-time warehouse staff under the supervision of the defendant. The defendant was appointed to discuss the service fee with the two sisters.
The accused alleged that the defendant was suspected to have received illegal rebates from the sister for a total of 9800 yuan three times from November 1, 2017 to February 7, 2018, as an outsourcing of the packaging and labeling work of Zhaode Enterprise to the two Sister incentives or rewards. It was reported that the packaging and labeling of goods worth more than 123,000 yuan was outsourced to the two sisters.
