Nati Haddad is imprisoned in Thailand on his way to Israel

Remember, Haddad has undergone a torture mask in the Thai prison and in the documentation that has been transmitted in recent years he appears to be exhausted and weak. Haddad even tried to hurt himself two years ago, but now he is returning to Israel.

Nati Haddad was one of the well-known Israelis in Thailand. He assisted many Israeli tourists who were in unpleasant conditions, suffered from medical problems and sought his help. In a statement issued, Minister Arden instructed IPS to take immediate action to relocate Haddad to Israel, despite the Corona restrictions.

"In light of the circumstances of his arrest and imprisonment, I considered it appropriate to take him to Israel. Already in March 2019, I signed an order confirming his transfer with the Minister of Justice. However, for the transfer, permission from the Thai authorities is also required," Minister Arden added. "Last week the Thai authorities approved Finally, Nati was sent to prison for his imprisonment in Israel, but news reports published as 'Prison Service Factors' stated that IPS would not work to bring him to Israel during the Corona crisis, because of fears of being infected by prisoners and prison guards.

The Minister of Public Security added in his statement that "since the beginning of the Corona crisis, we have taken unprecedented steps to prevent the virus from entering and spreading in prisons. It is precisely the measures we have taken that allow us to manage risks and to take Nati's transfer to Israel in a secure manner that will ensure that the transfer does not endanger or even prevent it."

Arden concluded, "Therefore, and given that the preparation for the transfer process takes time, I would like to instruct the IPS and all parties involved in the work, to prepare without delay for Nati's transfer, even through a third country as direct flights from Thailand will not take place in the near future. I will also update that I intend to dismiss Nati and his family from the transfer costs so that this issue is not expected to delay the process as well. "
