According to the forecast of the European Center for Medium-Term Weather Forecast (ECMWF), a tropical cyclone traversed the northern Philippines around Saturday and moved roughly towards Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta. The tropical cyclone was closest to Hong Kong on Tuesday, and then gradually dissipated.
The U.S. Global Forecast System (GFS) also predicts that the area of low pressure will cross the northern Philippines on Saturday and the closest to Hong Kong next Monday (15th).
