The village of Zaytuna sits on top of a mountain hill, making it a destination for eco-tourism to enjoy its fresh water, abundant valleys and the beauty of its forests dominated by oaks and oak trees.
The village is characterized by its location within a dense forested area, with a population of about 1500 people, and it is about 800 meters above sea level. It is located in the western region of Hama Governorate and belongs to Wadi El-Ayoun district, according to its mayor, Mohamed Salman.
According to Salman, the olive tree is known for its fruitful trees that cover large areas in it, the most important of which are olives, from which it derives its name in addition to walnut, citrus, grape and fig trees.
Salman explains that the village, which is 70 km away from the city of Hama, has a municipality serving five villages alongside Zaytuna, which is Ain Farraj, Ain al-Karam, Jebita, Kamiliyya, and Douir al-Mashayekh.
