Daraa-Sana
The Public Company for Sewerage in Daraa has finished maintenance and rehabilitation of two sewage pumping stations in the town of Al Hara, which were affected by terrorism at a cost of 50 million pounds.
The company's general manager, engineer Rizk Mahameed, stated in a statement to SANA correspondent today that the maintenance included civil, mechanical and electrical works and control panels with the aim of lifting pollution from drinking water sources and agricultural lands and protecting the population of about 25 thousand people from diseases.
Mahameed pointed out that the town of Al-Harra is located on a high elevation and has two sewage drains to the west and east, which constitutes an environmental problem in the absence of treatment.
