Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Representative of the Russian President for Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister, affirmed that the Israeli occupation entity’s plan to annex parts of lands in the West Bank represents a “dangerous development” and eliminates opportunities for a solution to the Palestinian issue.
Bogdanov said in an interview with the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram, the text of which was published on the Russian Foreign Ministry website today that the intention of the occupation government to annex parts of the West Bank in the near future is a "dangerous development", indicating that this undermines the "two-state solution" and further aggravates the conditions in the Palestinian territories.
Bogdanov pointed out that his country's principled position in favor of the two-state solution has not changed.
