Damascus-SANA The Ministry of Health announced the registration of 12 new cases of coronavirus, in contact with people in the town of Ras al-Ma`ara Berri

The Ministry of Health announced the registration of 12 new infections with the Coruna virus in contact with people in the town of Ras al-Ma`ra in Damascus countryside, bringing the number of cases registered in Syria to 164 cases.

In a statement, SANA received a copy of it, the ministry said that the number of recorded HIV infections in Syria has reached 164 today, of which 68 were recovered and 6 died.

The ministry subjected the town of Ras al-Maarrah to the quarantine on the seventh of this month after recording 16 cases of Corona virus in the town as a result of contact with an infected truck driver working on the Syria-Jordan line in order to prevent the spread of the virus and to preserve public health and the safety of citizens.

The first case of Corona virus was recorded in Syria on the twenty-second of last March for a person coming from outside the country, while the first death was recorded on the twenty-ninth of the same month.
