Eschenlohe - The strong flood obviously did not deter him until the bad awakening came: A man from the southern district triggered a rescue operation on Thursday morning. The 68-year-old had been on the Loisachuferweg from Oberau to Eschenlohe with his e-bike . Due to the heavy rain at night, the Loisach flooded, the bank paths were heavily flooded. Nevertheless, he continued on his way. In the "Pfrühlmoos", however, he was still able to reverse due to the depth of the water.

Rescue operation in Eschenlohe: police car is stuck in the water 

The man called for help. Passersby heard the screams and informed the police. The forces of the emergency train from Murnau discovered the e-biker at the confluence of the "Lauterbach". He held onto a tree with both arms. Two strips were able to fight their way near the scene of the accident. However, due to the depth of the water, they had to stop their journey a few meters from the man. An official, who was secured with a rope, finally released him from his predicament and handed it over to the fire department in Oberau and the emergency services. 

As reported by the Oberbayern Süd police headquarters, even a company vehicle had to be recovered by the Eschenlohe fire department. It was no longer ready to drive due to the depth of the water. The forces had a lot to do on Thursday at the Loisach. Several emergency calls came in almost simultaneously. Thereby dramatic scenes took place.
