Today, members of the Homs Fire and Civil Defense Fire Brigade put out a fire on olive trees and wheat fields in the town of Sharqalia in the northwestern countryside of Homs.

Brigadier General Ghiath Akel, director of the Civil Defense Branch in Homs, told a SANA reporter that the firefighters immediately went to the location of the fire and dealt with it quickly, fearing it might spread due to the wind.

And Sane explained that the fire spread over an area of ​​about thirty dunums, indicating the readiness of firefighting cadres in Homs to put out any fire around the clock, calling on citizens to be cautious and attentive and not to throw cigarette butts on agricultural lands or set the fire.

The civil defense personnel in Homs put out a fire on Monday in forest trees and herbs on the road to Homs Hama near the Al-Sawam Bridge in the north of the governorate.
