The new coronavirus has caused 27 additional deaths in 24 hours in France for a total of 29,346 deaths since March 1, announced Thursday the Directorate General of Health (DGS), which also reported a decline in the number of people hospitalized, especially in intensive care.

Of all the deaths, 18,962 occurred in hospitals and 10,384 in social and medico-social establishments, mainly Ehpad, specified the DGS.
The number of people hospitalized for coronavirus contamination fell to 11,465, down 213 from Wednesday. Resuscitation services treated 903 patients with COVID-19 on Thursday, 30 fewer than the day before.
