Kremlin spokesperson defends response to coronavirus

Russia has been one of the countries hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic: it is only after the United States and Brazil in the number of cases of covid-19. The Government's response has received much criticism both nationally and internationally. In an exclusive interview for CNN, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the virus has not been a national political crisis for President Vladimir Putin and that the Russian health system has saved lives despite being under a lot of pressure.
