Demonstrations renewed in a number of Lebanese regions today to demand an improvement in the living situation.
The Lebanese National Media Agency reported that demonstrators gathered in front of the Justice Palace in Baabda, carrying banners demanding accountability for the corrupt, while dozens of protesters gathered in front of the Palace of Justice in Tripoli, northern Lebanon, to demand an improvement in the living situation amid security measures taken by the army and internal security forces.
The Sidon merchants carried out a sit-in in the commercial market of the city in protest against the deteriorating living conditions, and some of them closed their shops.
During the protests, some demonstrators cut off a number of roads in Beirut and the Tripoli Akkar Highway in Bab Al-Tabbaneh, in addition to Sidon and Bekaa, with obstacles and dirt berms.
It is noteworthy that groups take advantage of popular demands regarding the need to improve the economic, social and financial conditions in Lebanon and carry out riots during demonstrations in a number of Lebanese regions.
