965 reports were distributed by the Israeli police during the past day for the failure to wear a mask. That violated emergency regulations.
The drastic increase in fines follows Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's directive this week to step up enforcement of the Corona's anti-proliferation guidelines across the country. A few days ago, a meeting of the NSC was held, including the participation of health and interior ministers, in which it was determined that enforcement would be stepped up by police, local authorities and the Population and Immigration Authority inspectors who were temporarily converted.
Enforcement focuses on masking, adherence to guidelines, adhering to the "purple character" rules in businesses and malls, and enforcing the isolation of patients and people who have been in contact with them.
Last night, the Ministry of Health reported that the number of patients had increased to 18,355 after adding 175 patients. There are 2,869 active patients among those infected, including 22 respirators.
