A video clip circulated on the communication sites showing that Recep Tayyip Erdogan police officers committed violations and detention of children and women during raids to arrest wanted persons on political charges sparked a wave of anger in the Turkish street.
According to the Turkish Zaman newspaper, the clip was filmed yesterday in Adana province and shows a violent raid on a house of a large number of heavily armed police in order to arrest a person under the pretext of his contact with opponents of the Erdogan regime.
During the video, a policeman hears a voice telling a colleague that there is a child, but the official orders the child to be taken with his mother and arrested, as well, which angered activists and citizens who expressed their rejection of the violence that Erdogan police follow during the arrests of citizens with false pretenses and charges.
The operation comes in implementation of the decision of the Public Prosecutor's Office in Adana to arrest 63 people, including a number of dismissed police officers and women, including pregnant women, who were all charged with participating in organizing the coup attempt in 2016.
In a related context, a court affiliated with the Erdogan regime issued a decision to arrest Munawar Tekin with her six-month-old child, on charges of providing aid to a number of opponents.
During the past years, the authorities of the Turkish regime launched campaigns of raids and repression against opponents, arresting more than 77,000 people and taking decisions to dismiss or suspend work against about 150,000 workers in the government, the army, the judiciary, education, and other institutions.
