A huge 350kg tuna fish was caught last Wednesday at Ashdod Port and from there made its way including many of the Tel Aviv fish restaurants, headed by Yakimono Brutchild, Sheila, Meshia and Shane. When we heard the gospel we immediately made our way to Yakimono to taste the huge fish To reproduce the amazing flavors we encountered on a trip to Japan, where these fish can be encountered more frequently, with an average weight of 200 pounds.

The first and most important dish we tasted was the sashimi. Piece of clean fish, no extras, no seasoning and no games - and the result is perfect. Top quality fresh fish, perfectly oily and deliciously delicious. The cones and sushi rolls from the same fish were also very high and there is no doubt that this is a rare opportunity to enjoy such a fish.

The tuna, the quality Blue Pin species, was caught near the coast of Ashdod and is among the largest fish caught to date in Israel. This is a type of fish that can be obtained during May-June, two months a year, when these fish migrate towards Greece. No less than ten Miyakimono staff worked to bring the fish into the restaurant kitchen for the many hours of piloting.

"As our father's tradition is the Yakimono Restaurant every year, we patiently wait for the perfect tuna to open this season," said Alexander Cohen, a restaurant owner. "This year too, despite all the difficulties affecting the world and the restaurant industry,

we are proud to continue the long-standing tradition with an uncompromising emphasis on the best quality for the guests who visit the restaurants every day. Wish us and the rest of the economy to continue to thrive and give the best service."
