The combination of corona requirements and site restrictions means that there are various new rules in this year's Moosburg outdoor pool season. An overview.
Moosburg - "The bathroom is in excellent condition, the water will fit and the lawn is clean," said Moosburg Mayor Josef Dollinger at a press meeting in the Moosburg outdoor pool. Nevertheless, there will be restrictions when the swimming season begins on Wednesday, June 17.
Construction site noise can be heard on the grounds of the Moosburg outdoor pool when Mayor Josef Dollinger invites to the press appointment on Wednesday morning: Die
Work on the new indoor pool
are running at full speed - the strip foundations are currently being laid. There is still a clear view of the excavators, dump trucks and workers. But soon a construction site fence with a privacy screen will separate the swimming pool from the construction site. Because on Wednesday, June 17th, the outdoor pool will open - albeit with restrictions.
Entrance relocated to container settlement
The construction site alone places restrictions on bathers. The outdoor swimming pool entrance had to be relocated, as the former ticket booth, changing rooms and water guard station were torn down to make room for the new indoor swimming pool. This season, a container settlement opposite the FC Moosburg soccer fields will take you to the outdoor pool.
A maximum of 600 guests are allowed in the outdoor pool
In the future, green chips will be issued at the provisional cash register. This way, the employees know exactly when the upper limit of 600 visitors is reached. Because the corona requirements force the city of Moosburg to limit the number of visitors. So that everyone can still enjoy the outdoor pool, Dollinger appeals to the reasonableness of the bathers, with consideration for others to make the “stay not too long” - two to three hours would be a good solution. After all, there are "over 3000 bathers" on nice days and with regular operation, the mayor knows.
There is another corona-related change: "We have to include the personal details for each family," announced Dollinger. So that the waiting time at the checkout does not become too long, the town hall manager asks the visitors to fill out the appropriate form at home, which can be found on the homepage of the city of Moosburg.
Temporary collective changing rooms
Lifeguard Rostislav Zinitch points out further restrictions: "There will be no closed changing rooms, no warm water in the showers and no lockers." According to Dollinger, it would be "ideal if the bathers were already wearing swimwear". If this is not possible, collective fence changing rooms are available. And of course it is important to keep your distance on the approximately 9000 square meter area.
One-way regulation in the swimmer pool
The distance rule also applies in the pools, which is why there are limits here: the swimmer pool may have a maximum of 80 people, the non-swimmer pool 55 bathers, the toddler area 20 visitors and the baby paddling pool six people. In addition, a one-way regulation applies in the swimmer pool. That means: Swimming on three double lanes in a row and at a distance, lanes 5 and 6 are reserved for athletes and the others for recreational swimmers.
If you need a refreshment after swimming, you can shop as usual at the kiosk, which is located in the container area and therefore in the immediate vicinity of the cash register, the rooms for lifeguards and water guards as well as the toilets.
Smoking is now prohibited
One thing is important to Josef Dollinger - regardless of Corona: "The outdoor pool has been declared a smoke-free zone." Although there is a small smoking area, other than that, smoking on the outdoor pool area will be prohibited in the future. "We would be very connected if this is adhered to." With all the changes and restrictions, one thing remains the same: the admission price. The only downside: Online tickets cannot be purchased in advance - "We are not technically able to do this," says Dollinger. However, they are working on being able to provide at least information about the current number of visitors on the homepage.
