According to the police report, the 39-year-old from Munich noticed a police patrol on Wednesday morning (June 10) at around 7 a.m. as he drove his BMW  through the pedestrian zone at Pasinger Marienplatz in violation of the law.

When the driver saw the police stop signal, he increased his speed and tried to escape control. During his almost ten-minute flight through the western part of Munich and the neighboring district, he ran over several red traffic lights and increased the speed of his car to up to 150 km / h.

He finally parked his car in Graefelfing and briefly escaped on foot before he could be arrested by the police officers. It turned out that he did not have a valid driver's license and had small amounts of marijuana in the car. There was also suspicion that he had driven under the influence of marijuana.
