The directors of the Nicaraguan Medical Unit, opposed to the Nicaraguan Government, maintain that agents of the National Police and patrols remained outside their facilities and consider that the presence seeks to intimidate the union for the complaint of unjustified dismissals of doctors who signed statements in disagreement for managing the pandemic. CNN has requested information on the layoffs from the Ministry of Health, but has not yet received a response. Likewise, CNN requested information on the operation reported by the doctors to the National Police, and has not received a response either.
