The anti-amendment campaign caused a wave of demonstrations. When a fresh DSE boy was wearing a black suit in Tuen Mun last year, he was intercepted by a patrolling police officer. The police seized 3 petrol bombs, Spartan and other items on him. The male student admitted to the District Court today (12th) that possession of the article was intended to destroy or damage the property. The defense pleaded that the defendant committed the crime under the influence of the social atmosphere, but the judge believed that the incident was at the peak of social unrest. Throwing a petrol bomb, he should have foreseen the harm his actions could bring, but he still decided to obtain a report for him before sentencing, and the case was postponed until the 29th of this month.

A 17-year-old male student with a surname Chen admitted to control three petrol bombs stuffed with white cloth strips, two wrenches, three bottles of cyclohexane and methylcyclohexane in Zhaolinyuan, Tuen Mun last November 10 last year. A container with white electric oil, a bag of white powdery particles containing calcium chlorate, 14 white cloths, a funnel, 4 lighters and a pair of scissors, intended to use or permit others to use items to damage property.

The defendant was intercepted in black

The case alleges that the police patrolled around Tuen Mun in November 2019. When they reached Zhaolin Court, the police saw a group of people dressed in black. The defendant even held a walkie-talkie, and the police stepped forward to stop the investigation. The defendant was wearing a black suit, black mask and black gloves when he was intercepted and contained 3 petrol bombs in his pocket. The police later seized other items in the case.

The defense pleaded that the defendant was affected by the prevailing social atmosphere at the time of the incident and committed the case impulsively, admitting ignorance and irrationality. He now regrets that the incident has led him to a lesson.

The official accused someone of throwing petrol bombs from time to time

The judge pointed out that the case is serious. In addition to the three petrol bombs, the defendant also has materials that can be used to make petrol bombs. This shows that he did not commit this case out of impulse, but intended to be involved in the violence. The dress is obviously to cover up the identity. The judge also pointed out that the incident was at the peak of social unrest. At that time, people would throw gasoline bombs from time to time, and the defendant should anticipate the harm that his actions could bring. Although the judge first asked him for a training center, labor camp, and psychological report, he did not necessarily adopt these sentencing options.
