The famous abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel, closed to tourists due to the epidemic of coronavirus, will again be accessible to tourists on Monday, announced on Friday the site of the abbey, where religious live.

“ The Mont-Saint-Michel abbey reopens on Monday June 15, 2020 from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. The new reception and visit conditions will be online the day before, ”reads the website of Mont-Saint-Michel, a major tourist destination in the world. Confined for two months, Mont-Saint-Michel had come back to life with the return of visitors and the reopening of its shops, except cafes and restaurants, on May 11.
Due to the health crisis, specific measures had been put in place on the Mont, with a single direction of circulation in the village, in order to avoid people crossing. Other famous French monuments are also due to reopen on Monday, including the Arc de Triomphe, the Pantheon and the Château de Vincennes in Ile-de-France.
