Tens of thousands of euros well spent. The Belgian owner of a Tesla car, which costs at least € 40,000 new, recorded and then published a video in which the Autopilot of his vehicle enabled him to effectively avoid a boar.

The driver, a baker, was on his way to work around 4 a.m. when a boar got across the road. The vehicle, which avoided the accident, was able to make a significant deviation not thanks to the driver's reflexes, but thanks to the Tesla's autopilot system.
“ The car immediately regained control to get me back on the road. It was clear that [she] was taking control after my reflex to avoid the animal, ”Kenneth Van Hoesen told the newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.
Elon Musk, multimillionaire founder of the Tesla company, who recently stood out with his successful launch of a SpaceX rocket, reacted on Twitter to this video which has been loved more than 33,000 times. “ The primary objective of the Autopilot is to avoid accidents. What seems fast for humans is slow for a computer. The sonar system that detects all 360-degree movement around the car is superhuman. Updates to this program will unleash its full potential, ”we read.
