In an interview with Le Figaro, the president of the FFT reveals the outlines of the French-French summer tour, pending the resumption of the circuit, perhaps in August. "Thierry Ascione ( coach notably of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga) had made us aware of this subject and trusted us to implement his idea. Our federation now offers its best players the opportunity to rediscover the rhythm of competition with three tournaments in the Alpes-Maritimes, intended for those likely to enter the Grand Slam tables. The first Elite FFT Challenge will take place from July 6 to 11 at Tennis Club Giordan in Nice, the second from July 13 to 18 at ASLM Tennis Cannes, and the third from July 20 to 25 at Tennis Club de la Vanade in Villeneuve-Loubet (...) There will be 24 players and 12 players in the running. The 20 best tricolors who will wish to participate and the 10 best players, plus wild cards, 4 for boys and 2 for girls. They will be open to players who are ranked up to the top 250. We will play the best of three sets with a great tie-break in the 3rd round. There will be group stages, which will qualify for knockout matches. ”
