The household in Berglern gives the councilors a headache: there are too many uncertainties due to the corona. New loans are needed.

Berglern - The first meeting of the Berglerner main committee was not necessarily subject to amusement tax: Due to the effects of the Corona crisis, the 2020 budget is not only unpleasant in terms of numbers, but also fraught with considerable uncertainty. The central statement: there is a lack of around EUR 100,000 for the statutory minimum allocation from the administrative to the asset budget.

Just over two million euros in new loans are currently being raised. Of this, 1.55 million euros alone are required this year for the planned new construction of six social housing units on Bürgermeister-Strobl-Straße.

There is no more air in the administrative budget

Wherever the panel used the lever, it just wasn't there anymore. And nobody wanted to turn the control screw. "Of course it is difficult at this time to look ahead," said Mayor Anton Scherer (BBL). One was late, normally a household should be at the end of the previous year. But now you have the advantage that certain trends are at least foreseeable.

In the administrative budget - where there is no money - there is no more air. Too much has been pushed too often, for example at school, where the sanitary facilities are becoming a renovation case. Energy technology renovation should also take place in the entrance area. Daniel Helmecke (BBL) warned that the council should take a closer look at all the sanitary facilities.

Roof of the gym needs to be renovated

Much of the asset budget could be cut down because the year is almost halfway through and investments that are actually planned this year will no longer have any cash effect. This applies above all to the planned investments at the school and the gym. The roof should and must be renovated on the latter.

The deadlines for the tenders, the planning and more make it unlikely that the bills would still have to be paid this year. For example, the committee worked increasingly with commitment appropriations to keep the administration operational.

New fire station is said to cost 5.5 million euros

The big items are tax revenues, and here Scherer spoke of "a guesswork". The mayor used this word several times to identify existing budgetary risks.

The new fire station will probably cost 5.5 million euros. On the revenue side, there are property sales in the industrial area in Glaslern, where two plots are still available that can now be brought to the market after the archaeologists have examined the area. The administration caused a surprise when it came to toilet houses, where there is a zero in the current budget. The question arose promptly whether the project had died entirely. If not, household scraps have been formed for this in previous years. "They should be enough," said Scherer.

The committee has a need for information about the social housing on Bürgermeister-Strobl-Straße. A total of 2.3 million euros will be invested here, and the mayor campaigned to respect the decisions of the previous committee.
