The Ministry of Health confirmed that among the cases of recovery from the infection with the Coronavirus, announced today by the truck driver from Ras Al-Maarah in Damascus countryside, indicating that he was discharged from Al-Zabadani Hospital after confirming his recovery with a negative laboratory result twice in a row.
The ministry indicated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it today that among the six new injuries recorded today is a person residing in the Kashkool neighborhood in Damascus, who is in contact with a confirmed case in Ras al-Ma`ra, noting that the surveillance and investigation teams are counting all those in contact with him, conducting the necessary medical examinations and taking all other precautionary measures.
The Ministry of Health announced this morning that it had recorded six new infections with the Corona virus for people in contact with infected people in the town of Ras al-Ma`ra in Damascus countryside, bringing the number of cases registered in Syria to 170 and the recovery of three new cases.
The ministry subjected the town of Ras al-Maarrah to the quarantine on the seventh of this month after recording 16 cases of the virus in it as a result of contact with an infected truck driver working on the Syria-Jordan line in order to prevent the spread of the virus and to preserve public health and the safety of citizens.
It is noteworthy that the total number of infections recorded in Syria so far reached 170 cases, 71 of them recovered, 6 cases died, and the first infection of Corona virus in Syria was recorded on the twenty-second of last March for someone coming from outside the country, while the first death was recorded on the twenty-ninth of the same month .
