Today, the Center for Measurement and Evaluation in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has resumed unified national exams for the year 2020, while adhering to all precautionary measures and measures to prevent the Covid epidemic 19.
Dr. Maysoon Dashash, Director General of the Center stated in a statement to the SANA delegate that today the Center conducted the first session of the unified medical exam for students of colleges of human medicine in public and private universities who are under graduation and who have only 12 credit hours or four courses or students who have completed all the courses The credit hours for 2020, in addition to non-Syrian university students.
According to Dr. Dashash, the number of students applying for the exam reached 650, distributed among six exam centers in the universities of Damascus, Aleppo, Tishreen, Al-Ba`th, Tartous, and Hama, while a number of Syrian students in Germany, Austria, Beirut, and Cairo presented in the access centers outside Syria.
And Dr. Dashash indicated that the first exam session included 120 questions that included the specialties of surgery, ocular, auricular, gynecology and obstetrics, pointing out that the second exam session will be on the 20th of this month and includes the axes of internal and skin diseases, the laboratory and children.
Dr. Dashash indicated that the center issued before the exam a set of health instructions for the prevention of individual and public safety from the epidemic of Covid 19, which includes preventing any student from entering the unified national exam building without wearing the mask properly and preventing gatherings and the application of spacing, in addition to the commitment of the presidents of the halls and monitors Gag, wearing gloves, avoiding contact with surfaces, sterilizing hands, and following up students ’wearing of personal protection methods, especially masks, during the exam period. In the event of any health emergency for any student, precautionary measures are taken and health authorities are informed.
It is noteworthy that the standard medical examination was scheduled for last March, but was postponed due to the precautionary measures taken by the government team concerned with tackling the Corona virus, including the partial curfew.
