On June 13, 2020, around 1:15 p.m., two rival groups of people met in Dornierstrasse in Straubing to clarify a relationship dispute there. A group of people, consisting of three young men, was already waiting at the agreed meeting point. The second party, consisting of a young woman and two young men, drove up shortly afterwards in a car. The young woman threw a kitchen knife out of the moving car towards the waiting group.
