As the Holzkirchner police report, an e-bike rider fell and suffered very serious injuries. A rescue helicopter flew the 80-year-old to the accident clinic in Murnau.

According to the police, the accident occurred around 4 p.m. The 80-year-old Miesbacher cycled "down" on his e-bike on Miesbacher Straße, he was traveling alone. After the sharp left-hand bend and the confluence of the street "Auf der Leiten", a trailer truck wanted to overtake him.

What exactly happened then is still unclear. According to the police, the exact course of the accident requires further investigation. The officials assume that the driver of the articulated lorry, a 51-year-old man from the Rosenheim district, wanted to cut back onto the right-hand side of the MB 10 district road after overtaking the cyclist.
