The start-up Flower Art counts McDonalds and Flixbus among its customers. The successful young entrepreneurs are based in Höhenkirchen. At least still. Because their offices give way to living space.

Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn - Flower Art GmbH, which has been producing and selling unusual design images from moss and other plant species under the brand name "styleGreen" for around five years, has to give up its location on the corner of Rosenheimer Straße / Esterwagnerstraße in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn. As managing director Lukas Dinger confirms on request, an agreement has now been reached with the landlord of the former carpentry building, which the young company uses as a production facility and warehouse, among other things. You will have to leave the site at the beginning of next year and move to a new location, says Dinger: "For this reason, we are looking for suitable areas for our company."

As reported, living space is to be created on the site and a neighboring property. For this purpose, the existing property boundaries are to be dissolved and the entire property to be divided again. In order to make room for the new apartments, the former carpentry building and a small apartment building are to be demolished. According to the planning, only the residential and commercial building on the corner of Rosenheimer and Esterwagnerstrasse will remain.

Looking for space for production and offices

Although there were reservations about the construction project last year in the town council due to concerns about the future of the successful Flower Art GmbH, the building committee approved the building application this March with a large majority. This is despite the fact that significantly more apartments are to be built on the area than originally planned (see below). It was pointed out by the building authorities that despite the changes, the planned construction on a plot of land of these greetings would be comparatively moderate. Even if the community does not agree to the building application, there is a risk that the district office will approve the planning.

Sales manager Therese Bachmayer and managing director Lukas Dinger work with 23 colleagues at the location in Höhenkirchen.

Flower Art GmbH must therefore look around for a new district. "It is currently not clear whether we can stay in Höhenkirchen," says Dinger. Because there are few spaces available in the community that would fit the profile of his company. "We are looking for coherent office and production space with an adjoining warehouse, and that is unfortunately difficult in this size." Specifically, one is looking for a location that has around 300 square meters of office space as well as space for storage and production in one On the order of 500 to 700 square meters. Most areas in Höhenkirchen have already been explored - so far to no avail. But because one would like to stay in the community, according to Dinger, one is even willing to compromise: "Even if it is not our preferred solution, we could temporarily imagine a separation of the office and production area in order to find a suitable, coherent area in Höhenkirchen to wait. ”After all, the community has now taken root.

Customers include McDonalds and Flixbus

However, the young entrepreneur also emphasizes that the "styleGreen" brand continues to grow and that it has to be positioned appropriately for the next few years. In the meantime, people are therefore also looking for a new location outside of town. "However, we don't want to move too far to keep as many employees as possible," emphasizes Lukas Dinger.

Flower Art GmbH employs 25 people at the Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn location alone. Most of them come from the community or the surrounding area. The company's customers include Munich Airport, the bus company Flixbus and the fast food chain McDonald's. In addition to murals, the Moos manufactory also produces partition walls made from plants and other design products. For marketing, one works together with architects as well as office and trade fair planners.

The building project has the following dimensions:

On the two plots on the corner of Rosenheimer Strasse / Esterwagnerstrasse, 50 residential units are to be built in accordance with the planning approved by the municipality. The applicant had originally intended to build three terraced houses and two apartment buildings with 29 residential units. Now a mixture of different apartment types will be created in five apartment buildings. This leads to an increase to 50 residential units.

The two tallest residential buildings should have a ridge height of just over ten meters. The above-ground parking spaces originally planned in the middle of the quarter have been moved towards Esterwagnerstraße. According to the building authorities, this reduces the sealed area. Ten above-ground parking spaces and 89 parking spaces in the underground car park are planned. A large children's playground with four benches is to be built in the middle of the quarter. The trees or groups of trees on the property should be expressly preserved.
