  • "I don't think I'm a hero." Lazar Friedlander captivates the stabbing in north London

Scotland Yard - British Detective Service, announced this Saturday that the London attack in which Jacob Schlesinger, a Satmar follower and six-year-old father was stabbed is not defined as a hate crime but is being investigated as an attempted murder. Lazar Friedlander, a construction contractor who worked nearby and succeeded with his brother in taking over the attacker, told the Daily Mail: "It looks like a hate crime."

The attack happened yesterday morning on Stoke Newington Street in north London. Schlesinger, the father of six 50-year-olds from the Satmar community in the city, was walking down the street when suddenly a man of Asian descent attacked him and began to stab him many times in the head and torso. Passers-by on the street began shouting for help, and Lazar Friedlander, a contractor who runs a nearby construction site, heard the calls and rushed with his brother who worked with him to stop the attacker.

"We ran out of the construction site and saw a Jew covered in blood," he told Daily Mail Friedlander, a Jewish construction contractor from London. "Another Jew yelled at me: 'Hold him, grab him, he has a knife and he stabs.' There were several other people who tried to catch him but were unsuccessful. Me and my brother managed to seize him and hold him to the ground with his hands behind his back until police arrived. I don't think I Hero - I acted spontaneously. "

Friedlander said he believed the attack was anti-Semitic. "There were many people on the street - why did he actually stab it with the Jewish appearance? It seemed like a hate crime." According to Friedlander and other eyewitnesses, the entire attack was silent and the doctor did not speak. "I tried to talk to the attacker after I pinned him to the ground but he said nothing and just looked at me," Friedlander said.

Diaspora Minister MK Omar Yankelevich commented on her Twitter account about the stabbing event in London: "The stabbing event in London lights a red light and joins reports of aggravated anti-Semitism in the Corona. I intend to implement a special program to combat anti-Semitism and the response to Jewish communities around the world. We will be the address for every Jew in the world. "

Jacob Chaguel, Deputy and Chairman of the World Zionist Organization: "Anti-Semitic events have become commonplace and part of the agenda that Jews around the world are going through. And here we are witnessing a stabbing incident for only anti-Semitism. I urge the authorities to deal with the perpetrator of all the seriousness of the law Jewish blood is not lawless! "
