The Ministerial Committee in charge of following up the service, agricultural and living conditions in the Damascus countryside governorate, during its tour today, examined a number of areas, villages and towns of Eastern Ghouta on the problems and difficulties experienced by the industrial and economic reality, ways to solve them and the rates of implementation of some service, living and housing projects.

The industrialists whom the committee met under the chairmanship of the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Eng. Ahmed Al-Qadri with a number of laboratories in the areas of “Maliha, Adra Industrial, and Tal Kurdi” demanded support to the national industry and help them to export their products, reduce transportation fees for production prepared for export, exempt factories from income tax for a period of three years, address troubled loans and open Lending section for industrialists whose factories were destroyed as a result of the criminalization of terrorist organizations and the exemption of factories that stopped operating as a result of war conditions from taxes.

A number of industrialists in the Kurdish region of Tal Kurdi pointed out the importance of secreting the real estate found in that region and expediting the implementation of its organizational plan, expanding its streets and its transit, securing drinking water, lighting and wastewater in it, permitting the industrialists and increasing allocations to the factories and food products from oil derivatives, stressing the importance of supporting the Syrian product in Syrian galleries to trade and create points of sale for them in the industrial areas.

The Minister of Industry, Eng. Muhammad Maan Zain Al-Abideen Jaddaba emphasized that there will be immediate treatment of these demands according to the available capabilities, calling for expansion in the creation of food industrial establishments, improvement of export specifications for products, especially juices and concerts, and the resumption of craftsmen and industrialists present in the area of ​​Saqba, Arabia and other activities, especially in the field of “furniture” Stressing that the Ministry is ready to provide the necessary support and licenses to these 1,400 craftsmen and their installations.

In turn, the Governor of Damascus countryside, Engineer Alaa Munir Ibrahim, said that the organizational plan for the Tal Kurdi region is in the process of being completed and all industrialists ’observations have been taken into consideration and will be announced soon, indicating that most of the industrialists’ demands will be translated into decisions that are gradually implemented on the ground.

In the areas of Saqba, Kafr Batna, Haza, Mesraba, Ain Tarma, Beit Sawa and Deir Al-Asafir during their meeting with the committee, the people called for improving the services and the need to secure mechanisms for cleanliness, deporting rubble and dirt, creating new furnaces, and directing the maintenance and asphalting of the roads connecting their areas and Damascus, rehabilitating the infrastructure, and installing more electricity transfer centers to cover Those towns needed.

In the same context, the governor revealed that “two and a half billion dollars” had been transferred to re-maintain and forfeit the streets and roads of Eastern Ghouta, including the “Zabaltani Saqba Road”, the “Erbin Harasta Duma Road” and the “Maliha Tower, Sultan Saqba Road” in addition to the roads of the Tal Kurdi industrial zone, stressing that the direct will take place Soon, the necessary mechanisms will be secured for municipalities to work in cooperation with the local community.

At the end of the tour, Al-Qadri emphasized that the aim of it is to meet the families and industrialists and to identify the problems and service and economic difficulties and agricultural needs and all that relates to the lives of citizens to be discussed in the cabinet, pointing out that the great devastation that affected the region as a result of terrorism makes the work faces a lot of difficulties and needs time and effort According to the available capabilities to restore radiance to these areas, stressing that all problems will be addressed according to priorities.

Al-Qadri pointed out that the agricultural sector is one of the committee's most important priorities, as it is the basis for improving the standard of living of the population and supporting the national economy in light of the economic blockade and unilateral coercive sanctions imposed on Syria. Therefore, self-reliance and the advancement of this sector must be undertaken again.

He added, "The meetings with the industrialists showed the committee that the owners of industrial establishments have the will to work, produce and excel despite all the difficulties, and that all demands will be followed up with the relevant ministries with the aim of increasing production, as it is the best solution to mitigate the negative effects of the sanctions imposed on the Syrian people."
