The Ministry of Interior Trade and Consumer Protection confirmed the availability of flour in all bakeries in Latakia, explaining that the rumors circulating about the lack of wheat and flour in the governorate are shameful.
The ministry said in a statement that Sana received a copy of it today that the defect and crowding that occurred in some bakeries in Latakia came due to canceling the mission of a number of accredited people for manipulating the mechanism of distributing bread to citizens and selling at an excessive price and their delay in renting bread from ovens at specified times and deterrent penalties were taken against them.
The Ministry indicated that it is monitoring the performance of the ovens in terms of quality and quality of loaf and weight and provides all the needs of bakeries in the governorates of wheat and flour and production requirements.
