Advisor to the President of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Council for International Affairs Hussein Amir Abdullahyan confirmed that the statement issued by the United Nations Secretariat on the missiles that targeted the Aramco oil facility in Saudi Arabia last year was "politicized and baseless".
"The international community should search for the roots of destabilizing security and stability in the region in the policies of the Israeli entity and the behavior of the Saudi regime," Abdullahian said in a tweet on Twitter today, stressing that Iran "has the most positive role in establishing sustainable regional and global security."
Two days ago, Iran rejected the report of the United Nations Secretariat on the bombing of Saudi oil facilities last year, which was allegedly carried out "with Iranian weapons."
The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that "the allegations of the United Nations Secretariat regarding the bombing of Saudi oil facilities with Iranian weapons came under American and Saudi pressure, and that the Iranian Foreign Ministry expresses Tehran's deep concern about the use of the United Nations Secretariat as a tool to pass political goals.
