The endosperm cultivation directorate distributed about 154 thousand forest saplings during the current season, to be planted in many locations in the governorate.
The head of the forestry department in the Directorate, Eng. Anas Abu Fakhr, stated in a statement to the SANA correspondent that the production of plantations of various forest types was carried out through Al Ain and Namrah forest nurseries, of which 125 thousand were planted and distributed free of charge to the official departments, places of worship and the forestry plan of the Directorate, while the rest of the seedlings were sold according to the approved prices for each type .
Eng. Abu Fakhr indicated that the distributed and sold seedlings during the current season covered the required requirement, with about 170 thousand implants remaining from the production plan that were recycled for distribution during the next season.
Eng. Abu Fakhr indicated that the department is following its patrols on the forestry to control any violations that may occur, as well as following fires, calling on citizens to cooperate in reporting violations and fires on the number 188.
The area of forests in the endosperm governorate is about 12055 hectares distributed by 8055 hectares within the state property and 4000 hectares of private forests.
