For his first trip to Paris, the Greek Minister for Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias is the guest of honor on Monday from his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian. After a working lunch, they will attend the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union. Beyond the symbolism of solidarity, the menu is loaded: tensions with neighboring Turkey to challenges in the eastern Mediterranean, without forgetting Libya.
LE FIGARO. - You are going to France at a time when Turkey is increasing the threats in the region. What do you expect from Paris?
Nikos DENDIAS. - Indeed, Turkey has dangerously intensified its provocations in the eastern Mediterranean. This is unacceptable. It doesn't stop with violations of our airspace and territorial waters. Added to this are the overflights of armed fighter planes over inhabited islands, as well as over our lands on the Greek-Turkish border, in Evros, in the north of the country.
