It was a health diagnosis, with data and statistics on the table, and with a similar approach: the contagion curve and the expansion indicator of the COVID-19 establish a "severity" scenario on the size of the pandemic.

Ginés González García, Fernán Quiros and Daniel Gollán, Ministers of Health of the Nation, CABA and the province of Buenos Aires, shared that the situation of the coronavirus is expanding and requires taking measures to stop the movement of people on public transport.

There appears a nuance: the province raises, without turns, that it is necessary to plan a hardening of the quarantine and that this measure must be taken soon. "What we do today is to avoid a peak of cases in 15 or 20 days," said an official.

The City, represented by Quiros, is less prone to that: first, it wants to reinforce traffic controls to reduce circulation, but it resists taking measures that mean increasing restrictions.

Runners? It is a symbolic discussion: the province protests and the City says it does not impact. In Nación they give it a spin: they say it is gestural because it installs the idea that it can be relaxed.

There was, beyond the differences, a political message at this Monday's meeting: they agreed to set up a Situation Room shared between the three jurisdictions that would concentrate information on the AMBA and to publish, in an integrated manner, what was referred to the region and no longer separated between City and province.

"It is a common, shared area, and the right thing to do is to approach it globally,  " an official who participated in the meeting in the National Health portfolio explained to Clarín .

It is also a gesture: if AMBA data is disseminated, covering the city and Greater Buenos Aires, the factor of comparisons between the two territories that end up being, they say, an element of political dispute is eliminated .

After two weeks of sustained growth in the number of cases, with an increase in the number of fatalities and the level of occupation of the health system, the three ministers carried out a "joint monitoring" and, in a shared message, raised the need to take measures to guarantee "social, preventive and compulsory isolation and hygiene measures".

"The situation is complex and we are in latent danger. Controls must be reinforced and individual responsibility must be demanded: that only people with essential activities use public transport and that distance and hygiene measures are complied with," a national official told Clarín .

Later, finer readings appear. From CABA point out, by case, that the number of own infections remains stable in the order of 500 and that the occupation of Buenos Aires intensive care beds is also with the same parameter, at 30%.

In the Province, the occupation is in the order of 43% but rises to 55% when it focuses exclusively on the suburbs. In the city, there are 350 exclusive beds for COVID of which 110 are occupied, they detail in the City.
