The pandemic is hitting hard in Bolivia, which is approaching the 20,000 coronavirus infected. As it was known in the last hours, at least six people died on the streets without the possibility of medical assistance . They were at the doors of hospitals or on the public thoroughfare.
The Bolivian journalistic media explain that "it is due to the saturation of the health system in some cities of the country, " the newspaper El Debe revealed for example on its online portal.
The newspaper details that over the weekend a man was found dead in one of the streets of Cochabamba, after having made the pilgrimage of seven hospitals , without receiving assistance because those health centers were collapsed. Similar events were documented previous days in Beni, Santa Cruz and La Paz
The Duty maintains that the case of the past weekend is Juan Carlos Ch., Who died on Saturday in the Jordán street corner of Julio 16 in Cochabamba. After the death, his family tried to bury him, but three cemeteries refused to undertake the burial due to the demand for graves and the excess of bodies.
The other case of death due to inattention occurred in the Cotahuma area (La Paz), where a person with symptoms of COVID-19 vanished at the doors of a municipal hospital and died.
Similar events were reported a few days ago in Santa Cruz, where a woman died on a bench in a medical center, while in Beni, in the last hours, a woman lost her life in Santa Ana de Yacuma, after days of asking for help in vain
In its edition on Monday, the newspaper La Razón also confirms with several cases the hospital collapse of Bolivia
