The GEN army, recognized by the international community, launched a counteroffensive against the forces of Marshal Haftar after repelling their assault on Tripoli earlier this month, although the two camps agreed last week to negotiate a ceasefire -the fire under the aegis of the UN.
" France condemns all foreign interference in Libya, without exception, " said the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement. " Today, although the two Libyan camps have agreed to enter into the negotiation of a cease-fire, the offensive led by forces favorable to the government of national unity continues, with massive support of Turkey in violation of the United Nations arms embargo. "
" The pursuit of foreign interference, in particular the intensification of Turkish support, (...) is not acceptable, and this must stop, " adds the Quai d'Orsay.
