A shootout in a Nice district plagued by drug trafficking left three people injured on the night of Sunday to Monday, according to police and firefighters, a few days after other incidents with knives and firearms.

Monday evening, the prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes announced deployment " as of this evening " on the ground of a CRS unit, staff of the National Police and the Gendarmerie, in accordance with what the mayor of Nice had requested , Christian Estrosi (LR).
Sunday, the police intervened " after gunfire around 11:00 pm " and " reinforcements from the Raid and the gendarmerie were deployed " in the Liserons district, in the northeast of Nice, said a police source. A man about 35 years old was evacuated to the hospital in an emergency, according to the firefighters. Six people were taken into custody following these incidents, according to the prosecution.
Violence last week
