Kevin Durant had been interested in joining the MLS family since October 2019. After nearly 8 months, the NBA star achieved the dream by joining the Philadelphia Union partner group. The news was announced by the Major League Soccer franchise this Monday on social networks with a video where they welcome the Nets player.
Durant's foray with the Union seeks to make the MLS club brand have a greater impact globally; In addition, the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation (KDCF) will seek to work directly with communities in Philadelphia. In the statement, the NBA player was happy to join the Philadelphia family, later explaining some of the things he will do now that he joined the group.
