The village of Rasion, located in Al-Haffa, 28 km from Lattakia, is a suitable destination for hikers, climbers, explorers and adventurers, as it provides a unique experience of rest and relaxation in a calm atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city and travels with its visitors on a journey through time and brings its old stone houses to the memories of the beautiful past with all Its details, magnificence, and paths tell the way the life of the ancestors was.

The village is characterized by a scenic location and stunning panoramic views, surrounded by mountain peaks, forests and valleys that boast a green color and blend in harmony with the blue of the sky and the huge water dam that was created west of the village in a painting of magical beauty created by an artist who chose the vocabulary of nature carefully and masterfully as it is on the road Leading to the historic Citadel of Salahuddin Al-Ayoubi, to the northeast.

The village mayor, Saif Al-Din Al-Jurdi, explained to the SANA Bulletin (Tourism and Society) that the village is about 400 meters above sea level and is characterized by its mild climate and fresh refreshing air, indicating the preservation of the character of simple rural life with its customs, traditions, homes, terraces and lanes, and spreading mountain terraces planted with olives, wheat, tobacco and fruitful trees Medicinal and aromatic herbs in addition to home vegetables.

Al-Jurdi said: The population is about 800 people, most of whom work in agriculture and livestock, pointing out that the village contains great investment and tourism opportunities.

Faris al-Jurdi, a resident of the village, talked about the old mud houses that spread there and dating back more than 100 years, where his grandmother told him how the men of the village met and cooperated in building houses using materials available in the region such as stones and clay mixed with goat hair, sheep or hay to increase the strength of the building and its cohesion As for the roof, it is wooden bridges of logs or poplar trees that are peeled and paved and covered with a piece of nylon, then the reeds are placed over it and folded and left to dry, indicating that the old houses are characterized by their warmth in the winter and their cold in the summer and consist of a living room and another to sleep in addition to a kitchen and a stable.

According to Al-Jurdi, the village includes a church and a mosque whose features have disappeared with the passage of time, as are many other archaeological sites that are spread in the surrounding mountains and covered by oak forests.
