Geretsried - A serious traffic accident occurred on Monday morning at just before 7 a.m. on the B11 exit at Geretsried-Stein. Two people were injured. There was a five-figure damage to property.
Geretsried-Stein: accident with two injuries
According to the Geretsried Police Inspectorate, a 77-year-old pensioner from the Starnberg district was driving his Toyota south on Bundesstrasse 11. At the junction to Richard-Wagner-Strasse, he wanted to turn his car to the left towards Geretsried-Stein.
He overlooked a 50-year-old Königsdorfer who came from the opposite direction with a company car from the Audi market. The two vehicles collided in the confluence area.
The Königsdorfer suffered moderate injuries in the impact and had to be taken to the Wolfratshausen district clinic for further medical treatment by the ambulance service. The 77-year-old who caused the accident was also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Accident on B11: property damage of 35,000 euros
The two vehicles were no longer ready to drive and had to be towed. The damage to property is estimated at a total of 35,000 euros. In addition, operating materials leaked from both vehicles at the scene of the accident, which had to be bound by the road maintenance department.
Federal road 11 was partially closed for about an hour for the duration of the accident - which obviously caused problems for other road users. "Despite the barriers, which undoubtedly served to record the accident and provide first aid to those involved in the accident, some road users were unable to recognize them or to bypass them in a targeted manner," says the police report.
A serious accident occurred at the entrance to the Beuerberg Golf Club last Friday: a car and a motorcyclist collided. Recently, two vehicles collided with each other in a curve in the Dietramszell community area. Three men were injured in the accident.
