The new AMBA Situation Room will not change the way the coronavirus data is published. Both City and Province will continue to present each day the number of new cases from each district, beyond which there will be an additional report that will account for what is happening in the Metropolitan Area. The clarification came from the Ministry of Health of the Nation and was ratified to Clarín from the other jurisdictions involved in the preparation of the daily reports.

"The national part, which is published every day since the pandemic began, is not touched . And from now on, an AMBA report will be added to it," they assured the national government, in the face of criticism from different sectors after it was informed that, to avoid comparisons, CABA and Province would begin to publish data together on the Metropolitan Area.

Close to the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Fernán Quirós, confirmed that the City "will continue to publish" the number of cases and that there will be another report afterwards in which it will join those of those Provincial districts that belong to the region, which concentrates about 90 percent of new coronavirus cases. "Each will continue to have their own measurements, what is being coordinated is to make a separate metropolitan interpretation," they said.

Along the same lines, sources close to the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Daniel Gollán, indicated that the public coronavirus portal that the Province created will continue to display the data online individually. "It was decided to unify technical issues, but the data will continue to be published," they clarified.

In effect, this afternoon there will be a new meeting, in which only the technical teams will be present to fine-tune details and unify the methodology used to make decisions, but it will not affect the preparation of the parts.

Thus, from the three administrations sought to clear doubts , given the first questions that the proposal received, at the end of the tripartite meeting on Health that this Monday the Minister of Health, Ginés González García, headed.

What is Coronavirus? How is it spread and what are its symptoms?

"Manipulating the information does not solve the problem," Delia Ferreira , president of Transparency International, spoke on her Twitter , when it emerged that data would be released as a whole and it was still unclear if the reports of each district would be maintained.

"Operational coordination is imperative at AMBA. Applause. But communicationally, avoiding comparisons, ignoring disaggregated data just to avoid political disputes is a slap in the face of good management of the pandemic. Not serious. Nothing transparent, Petty. Pure selfishness," wrote the Political scientist and researcher Mario Riorda , in line with the request to keep health information without interpretation.

But voices also arose that alluded to a political-partisan intention, such as that of the ex-adviser to the Judiciary, Alejandro Fargosi ; who explained that "the 'K' will hide their failure, hidden behind @horaciorlarreta".

Thus, he alluded to the controversy that arose weeks ago, when while the cases in the City grew and was debated due to the relaxation of the quarantine, Gollán published a map of the AMBA , with the City highlighted and a forceful message: “It is clear where it is the highest risk of irradiation. "

The tension between City and Province remained latent and in recent days it returned to the center of the political scene, based on the intention of Kicillof -who saw contagion increase in his districts- that the quarantine in AMBA be tightened , Facing Rodríguez Larreta's decision to keep the activities open with protocols and the boys' recreational outings and permission for the runners.

Careful of the forms, Larreta avoided the controversy and managed to postpone decisions, at least for this week. But, in a new differentiation with the Province, he decided to land in all the neighborhoods of the City with the DetectAr program, which contemplates looking for infected people house by house: "The number of cases increases because we increased the tests," he said. On the other hand, for the Province, the reasoning is opposite : the tests increase because the cases increase.

While maintaining this tension, there was agreement on one point: establishing greater controls on transport, according to experts, the focus of greatest contagion.
