Damascus Governorate: Beginning of asphalting the Al-Areen neighborhood in Dummar Al-Balad

Damascus Governorate started asphalting works on the main street of Al-Areen neighborhood in Dummar Al-Balad, as part of its plan to improve service reality and improve roads and public facilities.

The director of maintenance in the governorate, Engineer Mohamed Hamamieh, said in a statement to the delegate of Sana that the damaged asphalt was skipped in the neighborhood and the main street was asphalted to be moved later to asphalt the secondary streets, indicating that maintenance workshops complete the works of asphalting lanes in the country’s destroyed side of the clinic and the Great Mosque.

According to Hammiyeh, the workshops finished works of asphalting sections of the main street in the Valley of Projects in the country’s ruins as well after scraping the damaged asphalt, as the area that has been asphalted amounted to 2,700 square meters, pointing out that the river Aisha road had been asphalted on the last Friday and Saturday holidays to prevent traffic jams due to congestion.

Hammamieh explained that the asphalting works are continuing and will include the various areas and neighborhoods in Damascus, based on the plan developed to improve the condition of the roads, in addition to the rehabilitation and maintenance of sidewalks and the terminals.
