Youth work in the district of Erding can start again. Not only the young people are happy about this, but all those responsible, such as the district youth ring.

Erding - Youth work in the district of Erding can start again. Not only the young people are happy about this, but also all those responsible for youth work, including the Kreisjugendring Erding (KJR).

The AHA rule (distance hygiene everyday mask) is also anything but a laughing stock for youth clubs, youth centers and youth rooms. "We do it voluntarily, voluntarily, we are among ourselves, we know each other": "This attitude is not the criterion, but is currently dangerous," says KJR Managing Director Reinhard Egger.

Therefore, the KJR invited to a seminar at short notice to inform everyone involved in youth work about the hygiene rules. Egger welcomed 14 visitors, honorary and full-time leaders of youth clubs and youth centers, as well as the youth officers Ulla Dieckmann, Marlene Pawelczyk and Simon Grandinger.

Emi Hatellari, the new KJR specialist for open youth work, took the opportunity to introduce herself, offer her support and network with everyone.

Hatellari graduated from high school in her home country of Albania. Afterwards, she earned a master's degree in social education from the University of Tirana. In Germany, she completed an apprenticeship as a curative education nurse and saddled an international bridge seminar on social work at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Munich. The 29-year-old has been employed at the district youth ring since March 15, after she had last worked at the Dorfen youth club and is now recognized as a social worker in Germany.

She has been with KJR Erding since mid-March. “She is highly motivated and a real asset,” praises Egger. Hatellari did not have an easy start: "All facilities were closed, contact was considerably more difficult," reports the managing director. The Albanian is very sociable. And it has to be. Egger explains that Hatellari should promote open youth work in the district, advise and support clubs and municipalities in setting up and operating youth clubs.

Martine Drießen, former employee of the KJR and city youth worker in Dorfen, very vividly presented a possible health protection and hygiene concept for youth clubs and youth centers. The responsibility of the institution or the provider of measures and activities is the responsibility. "You have to ensure that the nationally applicable measures and regulations are complied with and also provide the corresponding materials," said Drießen.

The minimum distance must be observed, a maximum number of visitors must be ensured. Masks are a must. Regular ventilation is just as important as disinfection. According to Drießen, the sale of open food and beverages is not permitted until further notice. "Of course, employees must also be provided with protective equipment, instructed and trained," she clarified.

All participants were happy to get back into direct open youth work with more confidence and courage.
