Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that the implementation of "Israel" plans to annex Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank would lead to a dangerous escalation in the region.
Russia's Sputnik agency quoted Lavrov as saying in a statement after a telephone conversation with European Union Security and Foreign Policy Commissioner Josep Borel today that Russia and the European Union agree that implementing Israeli plans to annex lands in the occupied West Bank could spark a new round of violence in the region and threaten the possibility A two-state solution as a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli issue would cause a dangerous new escalation of violence in the region.
Mikhail Bogdanov, the Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister, affirmed on the ninth of this month that the plan of the Israeli occupation entity annexing parts of lands in the West Bank represents "a dangerous development and eliminates the chances of finding a solution to the Palestinian issue."
