Vienna-Sana
Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, called on the international community and parties involved in the nuclear deal with Iran to protect it from the threats of a "destructive path" to the United States.
Ulyanov's call came during a virtual meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency's board of governors today, during which he stressed the need to find ways to coordinate with Iran in order to protect the agreement, according to what Russia's website said today.
The Russian Foreign Ministry had previously condemned the United States' steps to undermine the nuclear agreement with Iran, represented by its unilateral withdrawal in May of 2018, and the re-introduction of sanctions against Tehran and violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231, which adopted the joint comprehensive plan of action of the agreement.
