The victim suffered multiple injuries after being dragged for several meters this Monday evening at Maisons-Alfort. The suspect is in flight

He just wanted to settle this out of court. And his life changed in seconds for a broken rear view mirror. A 61-year-old resident of Maisons-Alfort was transported to hospital on Monday evening. According to a police source, he was then in a state of absolute emergency.

A few minutes earlier, under the eyes of his wife, he had been dragged for several meters by a motorist who did not want to settle the dispute. The suspect was still on the run last night.

The drama takes place this Monday around 8:20 pm rue de Jemmapes, in a quiet area of Maisons-Alfort. A dispute arose between the occupants of a Nissan, which was traveling on this lane, and a couple in a parked Peugeot truck.

A young woman kicks the rear view mirror

According to several testimonies, at the crossroads with the rue de Reims, a young woman, apparently annoyed, gets out of the first vehicle and punches the left rearview mirror of the truck. Then she fled on foot towards rue Concorde.

That's when the driver of the Peugeot comes out. The 61-year-old man, who lives next door, goes around his vehicle to see the damage on his rear view mirror. He approaches the driver to, says his wife, settle this out of court. The discussion lasts a few minutes. But the driver of the Nissan does not want to know anything. He does not know this young woman who had just gotten into his car. No question of paying anything.

His head hits the asphalt

Besides, it restarts. The victim grabbed onto the passenger side door to prevent him from leaving. But that does not deter the driver. On the contrary, it accelerates "at high speed", according to a source familiar with the matter. The 61-year-old man is thus dragged for several meters. He finally let go of the door. His head hit the bitumen violently. While the victim is inanimate, the driver of the Nissan continues on his way and disappears.

Rescue rushes on the spot. The doctor of the Samu draws up an alarming assessment of the health of the victim. She suffered from head and back trauma, multiple pelvic and clavicle fractures, and upper limb injuries. She was transported to Henri-Mondor hospital in Créteil. The Maisons-Alfort police station is seized of the investigation.
