With the exception of a small group of hard-core racists, the overwhelming majority of Americans would certainly not hesitate for a second to claim that "black lives matter". The well-founded indignation that ignited after the drama of the death of George Floyd testifies to this. Black Lives Matter, shouted in unison hundreds of thousands of Americans across the country, calling to stop the police excesses and its possible racial prejudices. Legitimate and necessary debate in a country with a racist past still very fresh, and with a police culture oh so violent, with its 1000 dead killed by police officers, every year (against twenty in France).
