Today, the Iraqi Civil Defense Forces evacuated more than 3,000 people from 600 homes following a massive fire in the Nakheel groves of Karbala Governorate.

Alsumaria News quoted civil defense as saying in a statement that "Civil defense teams were able to evacuate three thousand people from the region after the fire surrounded 600 residential homes and managed to remove the danger of fire from them," noting that the fire devoured a large area of ​​Ain Tamr groves estimated at 250 Dunums.

The statement pointed out that the civil defense teams made strenuous efforts for 8 continuous hours supported by additional firefighting teams from the governorates of Najaf and Babel, noting that the wind speed in the region caused the spread of the fire in the orchards and dry grass.
